Introduction

Hi everyone ^^ and welcome to Blogger!!
I'm excited to be part of the Blogger, which I hope will be a wonderful way for all of us to share our ideas of how we see, and relate our own literature to our daily lives. My work and research is focused on the story of Oedipus Rex by the Greek Tragedian playwright, Sophocles.

Oedipus was a mythical Greek king of Thebes. A tragic hero in Greek Mythology, Oedipus fulfilled a prophecy that said he would kill his father, and thereby bring disaster on his city and family.

My time that I had spent on rereading, analyzing and understanding the story, has shaped my beliefs on the importance of seeing the real truth for the benefit of one's structural development to society and to himself.

In all of my time in reading Oedipus Rex, I was most struck by how the main character profusely denied the truth that is being unveiled in front of him. It is this murky intersection between being blind and learning the truths that I hope my blogging can spur discussion on. Because at the end of the day, a frank and open discussion is what’s most needed. I hope to be a part of this with all of you.
